Easter At Ebenezer
I’ll be honest, this year, Easter isn’t the biggest thing on my mind right now. It’s the impending birth of my third child, which could be any day now. However, as your pastor, I need you to know how important Easter is for The Church, and especially our church, Ebenezer United Methodist Church.
This is our biggest holiday of the year.
More people may attend at Christmas, or your family may make a bigger deal out of Christmas, but when it comes to the significance of the day and what we celebrate, Easter is it. Without Easter, Christmas doesn’t really matter.
So, I want you, your family, and as many people as you can possibly get to celebrate the Easter season with us.
It starts with Holy Week, which begins on Palm Sunday, April 9, 2017. Later in the week, in the evening on Friday, April 14, we will have a Holy Week Service that includes Holy Communion and a time of remembering The Passion of Christ.
On Saturday, April 15th, at 2pm, there will be fun for the kids: stories, crafts, and Easter Egg Hunt. Please invite any child you know to this family-friendly event.
Then, the big Celebration of The Resurrection on Easter Sunday, April 16. Our Easter Sunday schedule begins with our Worship Celebration at 9:30am, followed by sweet breakfast treats, coffee, juice and fellowship. Invite friends and family to this special service.
It will be a fun and meaningful day for the whole family. Celebrate Easter at Ebenezer United Methodist Church!
You wouldn't try to drive a car on an empty tank of fuel. You wouldn't try to vacuum your house without plugging into electricity. Your smartphone doesn't work when the battery is dead. Your glass doesn't quench your thirst if it's empty. So why would you try to live life without love? This Lent, discover how to Live Loved.
